8/4/2023 0 Comments Garagesale http ebay![]() I’m really, I’m fed up with Android and the Note 4 and the apps are always crashing, it doesn’t scan anymore. ![]() I’m actually having some issues right now with my Note 4 phone, and I’m like, I’m fed up. Some type of glass, but I thought it was really interesting because if you look a little closer, it’s got a really cool little design on it. It’s a bottoms up 15 ounce some type of glass. I need to do some more research but if I could even get ten or 15 bucks, I mean, why not? But that’s kind of an experiment right there. So I’m probably gonna throw this as like, like new on eBay just to see what it fetches. So I’m not sure what I’m gonna do with this, I see a Walmart sticker on it right there. As you can see, the plastic’s a little ripped off at the edge, and it’s got some cracking in the plastic. 100 watts, I don’t know if it’s a speaker or what it is. It’s says features, “Mounting flexibility, smoother response, built-in crossover”, I don’t know what it is. I don’t even know what this is I’m looking at. This next pair of … Well this next item is a tweeter, I’m not sure what is it, by Jensen. Walked up at what? 11.15 and found those sitting there, so that was pretty cool. And again, 50 cents each, so if I can make ten bucks profit on each one of those, that would be definitely pretty cool, right there. And it is, never been used, and I got to do some more research on these, but I think these are going for about 15 or 20 bucks each right here. Opened up the box just to make sure it was brand new, and it is. So 50 cents each I ended up getting these for, and these are Topsy Tarvy? I don’t even know what these are. Found two of these puppies over at the first garage sale that I went to. So yeah, with that being said, let’s dive right into it. So I’m gonna share with you some of the items that I found to sell on eBay and Amazon. Nevertheless, you can still go out for 20 minutes, 30 minutes and make a few extra bucks to be able to pay for your week’s gas or whatnot. You might not want to list them on an online marketplace or Craigslist, but if you could scan their barcode and list it on a marketplace where buyers knew they would have a narrow window of time to make a purchase - in-person - would it be worthwhile?ĮBay would probably not be the best marketplace for such items, unless there was a clear designation that the items were garage-sale goods available for local pickup only.Even if you don’t plan out a route and prepare, and wake up early and prep your car and get gas and get ready to go crazy for the day. The point of holding garage sales is usually to clear out space from basements, attics and garages quickly and easily, but often there are at least one or two items that have some value. Interestingly eBay also envisions giving the garage-sale seller tools to allow them to offer buyers the ability to purchase the items via the computer network before the start of the garage sale and to let sellers offer discounts to buyers who purchase items online rather than in person. Local buyers are put in touch with local sellers, and vice versa, and the scope of potential commerce is supplemented by items offered for sale at temporary seller locations, or offered in the "informal" market sector, as it were."ĮBay envisions sellers including photos and barcodes when they upload their garage sale items (presumably using smarthphones) to help the system identify the items, and the eBay patent mentions its RedLaser mobile app. "As described herein, buyers can in some embodiments identify specific items to purchase locally or within a defined geographic region, or at a location, of interest. At the same time, it gives prospective buyers searching the web for a desired item "greater depth of content to review." One paragraph describing the system explains that sellers can enjoy "parallel publicity" and additional exposure to potential buyers by including garage sale items in mainstream online offerings. The application also relates generally to the creation and presentation of garage sale listings using a portable electronic device." eBay filed the patent in 2012. "This application relates generally to garage sales, and more specifically to systems and methods for on-line listings of items in a garage sale. ![]() The ecommerce company was recently granted a patent for "On-Line Garage Sale": EBay has already disrupted local and person-to-person commerce, now it wants to literally bring garage sales online.
